Amanda J. Shinko received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2012 from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She also received her bachelor’s degree in science from Marywood University in 2011.


Amanda began practicing in the field of Psychiatry in March of 2013 in Northeastern Pennsylvania. During this time, she would see patients for psychiatric assessment and medication management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her patients ranged in age from the adolescent population to the geriatric population.


In the summer of 2015, Amanda moved from Northeastern Pennsylvania to Central Florida. In March of 2016, Amanda began practicing psychiatry at Pacifica Care in Jacksonville, Florida.


Her goal as a practitioner, for all of her patients, is the greatest amount of symptom relief encompassed in the least amount of medication necessary. Amanda has a strong passion for the field of psychiatry and this is evident in the care and treatment she provides to those who seek her care.
